IMMATERIAL takes us on a journey across Moldova, exploring the roots of intangible cultural heritage passed down through generations. We meet seven women over 70 who preserve old customs in the north, a 16-year-old who learns traditional games in the center, a 25-year-old dancer in the south, all navigating generational shifts. With both reverence and criticism, they safeguard folklore, crafts, and arts that remain untouchable yet deeply woven into Moldova’s identity. Who will take up the mantle, and how will this heritage evolve?
