Majsan and Helle is over 80 years old when they finally are allowed to get married in church. Before the priest, they promise to love and cherish each other ”in sickness and in health”. But shortly after the wedding, Helle falls seriously ill after a stroke. Since Majsan herself has her physical disabilities, Helle is forced to move to a retirement home. Helle hates it there, and Majsan misses her so she does all she can for them to be together.
