Natalia Parfenova’s Photography Exhibition
November 25-30
19:00-21:00
Zemstva Museum

At the opening of Moldox Festival 2025, you are invited to explore Natalia Parfenova’s ongoing photographic project: “When It’s Daytime for Angels in Heaven, It’s Nighttime for Humans on Earth”.
Opening: November 25, 7:00 PM, at Zemstva Museum.
Afterward, the exhibition will be open daily until November 30, with free admission.
You’ll discover a selection of 120 mm film photographs that explore temporary installations, seasonal rituals, and natural traces shaped by time and decay.
Rooted in the observation of nature and inspired by forms of witchcraft, the project responds to the ongoing destruction of the environment through small, intuitive gestures. Each gesture is part of a slow ritual — shaped by weather, instinct, and change.
Natalia Parfenova is a visual artist from the Republic of Moldova whose practice focuses on analog photography, video processes, and photographic art books. A graduate of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, Natalia combines ecological themes with conceptual explorations of the invisible forces that shape the world around us.
Inspired by the connection between memory, landscape, and spirituality, the artist investigates magical and transformative processes that, though often invisible, profoundly influence the environment and human experience.
Through her work, she invites the public to connect with the subtle energies that govern life, offering images and narratives that blur the line between the real and the intangible.
