10 Years of Moldox Festival in 10 Posters: Opening of the Anniversary Exhibition at Cărturești

Moldox Festival marks its 10th anniversary with a special exhibition: “10 Years of Moldox in 10 Posters.” The event offers visitors a visual journey through the evolution of the festival’s identity. Each poster tells the story of an edition—its themes, values, and the directions of social change that have shaped the Moldox spirit over time.

10 editions, 10 years, 10 themes, and the artists who shaped Moldox

Hosted by Cărturești Muzeu, the exhibition highlights the work of artists and designers who have contributed to the visual identity of the festival. Visitors can discover posters created by:

The visual identity of the festival has evolved along with the community of filmmakers and audiences who have grown with Moldox, helping it become a solid platform for dialogue, reflection, and civic engagement through documentary film.

“The Moldox poster exhibition, from the earliest editions until today, marks ten years of visual identity. Ten editions, ten visions, ten ways in which artists have represented the spirit of the festival. It shows how Moldox’s artistic direction has taken shape—from the early years in Cahul to our presence in Chișinău, in an increasingly dynamic cultural context.

The posters also reflect the transformations within the communities we’ve engaged with, our ongoing concerns, and the way documentary film has remained a tool of dialogue and change. The exhibition is an invitation to look back in order to better understand who we are today and where we are heading,” says Maxim Cîrlan, founder of Moldox Festival.

The public is invited to visit the exhibition at Cărturești Muzeu, between 22–30 November, daily from 9:00 to 20:00. Entry is free for all visitors.

This year, on the occasion of the anniversary edition, the National Museum of History of Moldova and Cărturești la Muzeu become official partners of the festival for the first time. Cărturești will host the discussion panels as well as the Moldox Shelf, a space dedicated to books that reflect the ideas, topics, and voices behind the 10th edition program, “Chaos. Reinventing Reality.”

Moldox is not just a film festival—it is also a platform for social transformation. Through film and civic dialogue, it brings together filmmakers, citizens, artists, and activists to reflect on the most pressing issues of our time and to propose solutions. Beyond screenings, it offers a diverse program including public discussions, creative workshops, satellite events, and exhibitions.Moldox Festival 2025 will take place between 26–30 November.
