Press Release

The Moldox Association, represented by its founding members, takes a firm stance and unequivocally condemns all forms of abuse and violence. In response to recent online messages accusing one of the Association’s founding members of abuse and sexual violence, the Association informs the public of its decision to exclude writer Vasile Ernu from the organization and remove him from his role as moderator of the discussion panels at the annual Moldox Documentary Film and Social Change Festival.

This decision follows the testimonies of several women, shared in a Facebook post beginning on June 15, 2025, in which the writer is accused of manipulation, abuse, and sexual violence.

Guided by the core values of the Moldox Association, we strongly condemn any violation of consent, human rights, and personal freedoms. Since its founding in 2017, the Moldox team has remained committed to professionalism and to promoting equity, freedom of expression, and inclusion through all its actions.

We remain open to dialogue and committed to our mission: to use art and film to continue the fight for democracy, peace, and a more just society.
