In the summer of 1989, thousands of people of different nations and beliefs gather in North Korea for a spectacular students’ festival that advocates for peace, friendship and anti-imperialism. Entangled in the geopolitical intrigues of the Cold War, the world’s youth is approaching the imminent end of an era. 35 years later, the film celebrates their idealism, engagement and international solidarity.
